KT Gets Nominated for the Liebster Award ~ Third Award is the Charm!

Last week, I had the honor of being nominated for the Liebster Award by one of my favorite blogs, The Cat on My Head.  Janet Blue writes this blog, with the help of her ever-present, ever-knowledgeable kit cats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette.  We, at Kitty Tales, want to thank Janet and her felines, for thinking of us when making their nominations. 

The Liebster Award is an award given by bloggers to fellow bloggers on the rise, but with less than 200 followers.  This certainly includes KT, as we have few followers, but the ones that we have are very loyal.

The rules are as follows: answer 11 questions posed by your nominator, post 11 questions to your nominees, post 11 random facts about yourself and nominate another 11 blogs meeting the afore stated criterion.

Definitely not an easy task. I really had to put my thinking cap on to complete all of this…so, if you are still reading, here goes. I am sure you will find them enjoyable.

The 11 Questions posed by Janet:

1. Why did you start blogging?

I started to blog because I had hit a huge writer's block, and I wanted to break through it.  I chose to write about my cats because they are the easiest topic on which to write, since they are one of my passions.

2. Summer or Winter Olympics and favorite sport?

This is hard for me, as I don't follow the Olympics,  *ducking the boos and hisses*, but if I had to chose, I would chose the Summer.  My favorite sport is baseball.

3. What’s the most outrageous/daring thing on your Bucket List?

Since I don't have a list, I need to go off the top of my head and say this most daring thing for me is to try to publish my manuscripts.  (Not too daring, is it?)

4. For the women: Ryan Gosling or Hugh Jackman? For the men: Halle Berry or Emma Stone?

Since I have no idea who these men are, I had to look them up on the Internet and found that I wasn't familiar with either man's work.  BUT, I am assuming that Janet didn't mean their work!  Sooo, I would chose Hugh Jackman.

5. If you were forced to appear on a reality show, which one would you choose?

Since I abhor reality shows, this wasn't that difficult for me.  I would pick "Ghost Hunters", as I think it would be really cool to go to all the historical buildings.

6. Would you rather spend $200 on a great pair of shoes or a gourmet meal?

This was a no-brainer...GOURMET MEAL, OF COURSE!

7. Favorite ice cream flavor?

I like them all!

8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?

Where I am living, California!

9. What was your very first job?

I was a PBX operator.

10. What is your favorite and least favorite veggie?

My favorite veggie is artichoke, least favorite is frozen mixed veggie.

11. What one cancelled television (recent or from the long-ago past) show would you like to see return? 

This might have been the hardest yet, as I spend a lot of time in front in the TV.  I got it down to three, The Closer, Alcatraz and Eureka; and, of those three, I would have to say my favorite (depending on my mood) is Eureka.

11 Random Facts About Me

1. I wasn't always the good little girl you see before you now.

2. Although I have cats, I love all animals, great and small.

3. I was engaged to a biker in another life (when I was young.)

4. I am a hopeless romantic, even though I don't date.

5. My first cat was my first muse.

6. I went to college late in life.

7. I love history.

8. I am a Christian.

9. My second love (next to Christ) is a tie between my cats and writing.

10. My favorite meal is steak and lobster, but I love a good hot dog.

11. When I was in my twenties, I met one of my favorite musicians, David Crosby, from Crosby, Stills and Nash, when he ran out of gas in his car.

Okay, that actually was the fun part, and I am excited to read the random facts about those I nominate.
