Doodles

I am Doodle Bug Salter. On Monday 3/18/13 I will have my adoptiversary of coming to my furever home!  Here is my story:

In June 2011, my family found a 3 day old kitten inside of a boat. So they bottle fed her and cared for her. They named her Skipper DooDa, but they called her Doodles. They tell me she was sassy and sweet. She became very ill in Feb of 2012. After bone marrow biopsy and blood transfusions, Skipper DooDa was diagnosed with lymphoma. Treatments failed and she went to be an angel. My big sister, Spooky Boo, and my mommy were with her when she left. My whole family was very sad. 

On 3/17/12, my family decided that tragedy should become a triumph. God knew Skipper did not have long to live and that was why she got to spend what she had of her life in a good home. God would want them to do the same for someone else out there that needed a home. Maybe she had a brother or sister out there. They got on Petfinder and guess what ~ there was a picture of me!! I was the top of the list, so I was the first kitty they saw. Since I looked exactly like Skipper, they fell in love with me instantly.  To top it off, my foster family had named me Doodles!  This was fate! 

So they called the number for my foster mommy, and found out that I had been adopted from the shelter before and returned. I was not doing great at my foster home either until, on 3/7/13, at 500 am (the exact date and time that my sister Skipper passed), I began to rub up against my foster mommy and purr! I was then listed at the exact right time for my family to find me! 

I am so loving and sweet. My family really loves me and feels that my being with them was part of Gods plan!! My purpose in life was to be one of the Salter's Furbabies ~ part of a real family. They did not adopt me not to replace my sister. Each of their children are loved and none of them could ever be replaced ~ not even me. So, that is the miracle story of how I got my furever home!
