The other night, my mommy and daddy went to bed early, leaving me up to guard the house. Two hours later, I smelled smoke. The whole room downstairs was filling up with dastardly smoke! I needed to wake my hoomans up, and fast!! I dashed upstairs, jumped on the bed and meowed really loud in dad's ear. I pawed mom's face. Finally, they awoke from their slumber and I, Chubs, led them downstairs to find the house completely filled with smoke from the wood stove. Apparently, something happened to the smoke pipe and it came off the stove. So, I saved the house and my hoomans, and now I am a hero!!!!!!!
